Embracing Ageing: The Project on Community Support for Seniors
Lingnan University’s (LU) motto, “Education for Service,” inspires students to engage in meaningful community projects, fostering holistic growth and social responsibility. “Embracing Ageing: The Project on Community Support for Seniors” is an initiative launched in 2025 by Office of Student Affairs. It aims to build and mobilise a team of students and staff as volunteers to support elderly nearby, through a partnership approach, for a more inclusive and sustainable community. Through this programme, LU promotes social well-being and sustainable living, reduces elderly isolation, and enhances community resilience. It not only cultivates well-rounded Lingnanians committing to serving others but also to develop their leadership abilities in making a positive impact for our society.
