The normal duration is 1 year (Full-time) or 2 years (Part-time).

• September and January intakes are offered each year. The application period may vary from year to year. (However, for those applicants who need a VISA, you are at risk of coming late, especially for those who require to complete the pre-entry course.) As Jan intake has limited space only, we will consider your application as both Jan & Sept at the same time. Please state if you are only interested in Jan intake in "Additional Information".

To be eligible for entry into this Programme, candidates should have:

• A bachelor’s degree awarded by a tertiary education institution recognised for this purpose by the University (applicants with a non-psychology first degree have to complete a pre-entry course); or equivalent qualifications and experience, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis; and

• An applicant whose degree or, exceptionally, an alternative qualification deemed equivalent from a tertiary institution is not using English as the medium of instruction (MOI) for the programme in Hong Kong or an English-speaking country should obtain a minimum score of 79 (internet-based test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)¹, or a band score of 6.0 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)¹, a minimum score of 450 or above in College English Test Band 6 (CET-6), with proof of competency in spoken English^2,or an equivalent score in a recognised test. Equivalent qualification to prove his/her language proficiency which will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  ¹ For IELTS and TOEFL qualifications for admission purposes, the University accepts only results from a single test sitting. The test must be conducted at a recognised test centre and fall within the two-year validity period, counted from the date of submission of the  admission application for the specific intake cohort.
  
  ² For CET-6 results submitted for admission purposes, the University accepts only those obtained within the five-year validity period, counted from the date of submission of the admission application for the specific intake cohort. Applicants must also demonstrate competency in spoken English through an oral interview conducted by the Programme and/or obtain grade B or above in the CET-6 Speaking English Test.

• Interviews will be conducted if applicant is shortlisted. And applicants are required to fulfill additional requirement, if any, set by the programme.

• All courses will be mainly conducted in English.

• There are three document types to upload, "Transcript/Certificate", "ID Card, a passport or travel document" & "Others". If you do not have all three types of files, the system will block you for payment. If you have nothing to include in "Others" sessions, you may upload a blank page of document to fulfill system requirement.

• Any false, unclear or misleading information and/or document(s) provided by applicants in their application will disqualify their applications or revoke their admission offers, and any fees paid, including down payment or deposit, will be forfeited. According to the laws of Hong Kong, forgery is a serious criminal offence that a convicted offender may be liable to imprisonment for fourteen years.

• The selection process will begin as soon as we receive your completed application materials. Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an interview conducted by the Programme Director and/or other teaching staffs of the Programme.

A limited number of scholarships may be provided.

This is a Full-time/Part-time, credit-based postgraduate programme. Students must obtain a minimum of 30 credits, which consist of 5 required courses and 5 electives.
