Professor Jianjun SHI

Jianjun Shi is the Carolyn J. Stewart Chair and Professor at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests focus on the integration of statistics and data science with engineering domain knowledge for quality improvement in advanced manufacturing. Jianjun is a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). He has received several other recognitions including the Shewhart Medal in 2021, George Box Medal in 2022, and Deming Lecturer Award in 2025. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the IISE Transactions (2017-2020), the flagship journal of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.
