Prof. DENG Yiqin is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Industrial Data Science at Lingnan University. Her research lies at the intersection of computing and networking, with a particular focus on computing power networks, edge computing and edge AI, and AI-empowered wireless networks. Her work supports emerging applications in smart cities, the low-altitude economy, and industrial IoT, where flexible, low-latency, and location-aware communication and computing capabilities are essential.

She has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in leading journals and conferences, several of which have been designated as ESI Highly Cited Papers. She has also led multiple competitive research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC), including a 2024 NSFC Young Scientists Fund project and an RGC Early Career Scheme (ECS) grant under the 2026/27 funding exercise. Her recent honors include the Best Paper Award in the Wireless Communications Track at IEEE GLOBECOM 2025, one of the flagship conferences of the IEEE Communications Society.

I am currently recruiting PhD students for the Spring and Fall 2027 intakes. Recruitment for Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Fellow positions will officially begin in October 2026.
