Prof. LIU Jia Xiang is a Research Assistant Professor at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. His research forges a deep connection between mechanics, computing, and sensing. He actively collaborates with several internationally renowned institutions, including Imperial College London, the University of British Columbia, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and City University of Hong Kong. Prof. Liu is dedicated to application‑oriented research and passionate about fostering cross‑disciplinary innovation in civil engineering and related fields. He also welcomes students who are interested in pursuing interdisciplinary research directions.

He has received multiple prestigious international awards, including the Outstanding International Student Award from the University of British Columbia (2014), the Dean’s Honour List (2016, 2018), the Deputy Vice Chancellor Scholarship (2016), the International Student Faculty Award (2017), and the Dr. Gordon Springate Sr. Award in Engineering (2018). Prof. Liu’s primary research areas encompass intelligent sensing and advanced computing. In addition to his research, he also teaches courses in areas such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.
