LEAP Activity: Alumni Sharing & Networking – Inspiring Career Success (只提供英文版本)
On 14 October 2025, the LEAP Programme under the School of Graduate Studies (GS) at Lingnan University, hosted a vibrant “Happy Tuesday - Alumni Sharing & Networking Gathering”, uniting dozens of postgraduate students. This engaging event fostered career readiness and community spirit, empowering attendees with professional insights and connections.
The highlight of the evening was an inspiring talk by Mr Justin Liu, a Lingnan alumnus from the Class of 2023 with a Master’s degree in Social Sciences in Health and Social Services Management, now employed at the University. Justin captivated students with his selfless sharing, recounting his journey to securing a Hong Kong job through the IANG visa scheme and offering candid advice on adapting to Hong Kong’s dynamic work culture. His practical tips sparked numerous questions, reflecting the students’ enthusiasm and engagement.
In a warm, interactive atmosphere, participants networked with peers, fostering a spirit of community and mutual support. The event encouraged students to expand their professional networks and exchange experiences. A big thank you to Justin and all participants for making this event so rewarding!
The GS LEAP programme remains dedicated to offering orientation to the postgraduate students through such enriching events. Initiatives like Happy Tuesday empower postgraduate students to thrive in today’s competitive landscape.
