School Visiting and Exchange Programme - School of Graduate Studies, Lingnan University with School of Public Administration and Emergency Management at Jinan University

A delegation from the School of Graduate Studies (GS), Lingnan University, led by Prof Yau Yung, Associate Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, and accompanied by Prof Shi Cheng (Programme Director, Master of Social Sciences in Health and Social Services Management), Prof David Chan Yuen-tung (Programme Director, Master of China and Regional Development Studies), and Ms Jennifer Lee Fung-yee (Associate Programme Director, Master of Social Sciences in Organisational Psychology and Education Management), visited Jinan University’s School of Public Administration and Emergency Management for a fruitful academic exchange focused on future collaborations on 10 April 2025.

During the morning session, the GS delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with the Mr Liao Yong, Secretary of Party Committee, Vice Dean of School of Public Administration and Emergency Management Prof Hu Difei and Prof Tang Pan and other faculty members. Both sides explored potential partnerships in areas such as joint research initiatives, faculty exchanges, and student programmes. The aim was to enhance academic cooperation between the two institutions, fostering a collaborative environment that benefits both faculty and students.

In the afternoon, the GS team organised a comprehensive programme briefing session for Jinan University students, which included detailed introductions to all taught postgraduate programmes offered by the GS. Professors from various fields shared valuable insights on curriculum structure, research opportunities, and the admission process. This was followed by an interactive Q&A session, allowing students to engage directly with faculty and clarify any inquiries they had about the programmes.

This visit not only strengthened the ties between the two institutions but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in public administration and related disciplines. Both sides expressed enthusiasm about the potential for ongoing partnerships that could enrich the educational experiences of students and faculty alike.
