‘Will I be replaced by AI? I thought about that over and over again before my first day of school. Time flies, and as a translation graduate, I am proud to say that I will not be replaced by AI. AI can translate, but a translator never merely translates. At Lingnan, doing translation means doing films, literature, pop culture, and all sorts of intriguing subjects that have shaped me into who I am. Another highlight of our department is its encouraging environment, where my professors are always willing to offer guidance and support.
