拆解戲院結業︱至少９間謝幕 學者：依賴荷里活大片、港產片積弱
文化體育及旅遊局去年8月曾回應結業潮，認為不能單從一間戲院因為個別原因結業，就說生意不好。嶺南大學數碼藝術與創意產業系助理教授譚以諾關注影視行業多年，他認為政府的謬誤是經常將重複出現的結構性事件，變成個別問題，這種取態無助緩解香港電影業的困局。

Why snackable micro-dramas are thriving in China
Micro-dramas capitalise on shock value, which is essential in a format where producers must immediately grab viewers’ attention. One popular show begins with a couple in bed, the man waking up to ask: “Big sister, who are you?” These dramas create a space for ‘soft transgressions’, appealing through fast-paced, dramatic storylines that challenge or stretch social norms. “These elements of a melodramatic plot and story (surprise, unexpected plot twists, and turns) keep the audiences hooked and motivate them to continue watching,” says Emilie Yeh, the dean of arts at Lingnan University.

一年六家電影院結業，香港電影產業「寒冬」來了嗎？
嶺南大學視覺研究系助理教授譚以諾接受BBC中文訪問時指，電影院的營運收入主要是票房以及票房以外的收入，而票房以外收入又以爆谷及小食部為主。譚以諾指，過往票房有9成都以荷里活電影為主，而疫情後荷里活（好萊塢）電影的疲弱亦直接導致票房的收入減少，「不只香港，全球都很差，未能持續每個季度都有大賣的電影，很多票房都未必能到一億。」

港產片趁勢突圍 拓片種重振輝煌
嶺南大學文學院院長兼電影與創意產業研究中心主任葉月瑜教授指，電影業自千禧年後逐漸減產，近20年的每年電影發行量皆維持約50部上落，若然要跟上世紀80、90年代平均每年出品逾100至200部電影對比，數字上必然有很大差距，「此階段已經持續了好多年。」

嶺南大學電影與創意產業研究中心推出「香港電影放映與接收史料庫」，涵蓋一八九七年至一九二五年，包括戲院、片商、發行網絡、電影廣告與電影評論等，共五萬八千項的報章資料，編纂逾兩萬九千項概括的條目，史料庫已開放予公眾瀏覽。
