Michal is an Associate Professor, a coordinator of a double degree (BBA in Finance / BSc in Innovative Design and AI), BBA Finance (Minor in Financial Technology and Compliance) and a global citizen. A Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE) and SEDA-Recognised Leader in Technology-Enhanced Learning, he has taught over 30 undergraduate and master-level Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Statistics, and Econometrics courses in the UK, China, Hong Kong, and the Middle East. His teaching interests span various topics, including FinTech, Financial Management, Corporate and International Finance, and Financial Institutions & Markets. Michal has received multiple teaching awards, which reflect his dedication to inclusive, high-quality pedagogy and innovation in curriculum design and delivery.
He published over 30 peer-reviewed papers, addressing 11 of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Michal’s work has appeared in leading journals, including Energy Economics, European Journal of Finance, European Financial Management, Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money, Journal of Environmental Management, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. Outside academia, he enjoys lifting hefty weights, hiking, and exploring the world with his wife and two children, Lily and Michael Jr.
