Dr. Jiaxing Shen is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Artificial Intelligence at Lingnan University’s School of Data Science. He serves as Programme Director for the Master of Science in Data Science and as Common Core Course Coordinator for Generative AI. Dr. Shen earned his B.E. in Software Engineering from Jilin University and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with research experience as a Visiting Scholar at the MIT Media Lab.

His research focuses on AIoT-empowered Human Dynamics, an interdisciplinary domain that leverages Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things to analyze and model human behavior. Dr. Shen’s interests include Human-centric Computing, Context-aware Computing, Mobile Computing, Data Mining, and Generative AI. He is recognized for his impactful publications in top-tier journals such as ACM TOIS, IEEE TMC, and IEEE TKDE, and has received multiple awards, including the prestigious Best Paper Award at IEEE INFOCOM 2020.

Dr. Shen is an active member of IEEE, ACM, and CCF, and is dedicated to advancing AI research and its real-world applications. He welcomes collaboration with motivated students and industry partners to drive innovation in human-centric AI technologies.
