Major Programme in Data Science (2026 Year 1 and 2028 Year 3 Intakes and after)

• The major programme comprises 16 Major courses, 9 Core Curriculum courses, 6 Language Enhancement courses, and 9 Free Electives.
• Within the Major, 6 required elementary courses help students build a solid foundation in computer science, statistics, mathematics, and artificial intelligence.
• Through the 6 required intermediate courses, students develop knowledge in databases, data warehouses, data structures, object-oriented programming, simulation, quantitative decision-making, data mining, and machine learning.
• For the elective component, students may choose at least 3 courses from elective offerings, which are categorised as either application-oriented courses or advanced-level courses according to their nature.
