How to Use Yoodli for Academic Presentations

  1. Select your scenario: Choose “Academic Presentation” or “Thesis Defence” from the pre-built templates, or customise the audience and goals (e.g., “Practice a 10-minute speech on environmental policy for my sociology class”).
  2. Start practising: Either record a video of your speech, practice live, or upload a pre-recorded presentation.
  3. Receive instant feedback: After practice, Yoodli generates a detailed report with scores for pacing, clarity, and engagement—plus actionable tips (e.g., “Slow down during key arguments” or “Reduce use of ‘you know’”).
  4. Simulate Q&A: Opt for AI-generated follow-up questions to rehearse responses, then refine your answers based on additional feedback.
  5. Track progress: Revisit your dashboard to see improvements over multiple practice sessions and focus on persistent weak points.

Tips for Students

  • For thesis defences, upload your presentation slides to Yoodli—its AI will align feedback with specific sections (e.g., “Strengthen clarity in the methodology explanation”).
  • Prioritise fixing 1–2 key issues per practice session (e.g., first target filler words, then work on pacing) to avoid overwhelm.
