Prof. Li Shengbing 李盛兵教授

Speaker Background

Li Shengbing, Dean of the School of Education at South China Normal University (SCNU) and the Executive Director of the International and Regional Studies Center MOE, Center for Hong Kong and Macao Studies, SCNU. He serves as a Standing Director of the Professional Committee of Higher Education at the China Association of Higher Education, Member of the Review Panel for the China Scholarship Council (CSC) under the Ministry of Education, and Chairman of the Research Committee on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education at the Guangdong Institute of Higher Education. Additionally, he leads the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area University Alliance for Teacher Education and directs the Editorial Board of the academic journal Modern Educational Studies.

Previously, he held administrative roles as Deputy Director of SCNU’s Academic Affairs Office and Dean of the SCNU School of International Culture. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), University of Leicester (UK), and Boston College (USA). As a member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), he has authored 8 academic monographs and published over 100 research papers. In 2024, he was honored with the First Prize of the Tenth Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award.
