This Guide is designed to provide students with an introduction to research methods in English Literature and Linguistics. Use it as a resource to help you conduct effective research and enhance your research skills. 

The Guide will enable you to identify and develop an effective research topic, distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate research sources, productively engage existing scholarship, and cite properly.

The Guide is split into the English Literature section and the Linguistics section. In both sections you will find a small number of subpages focused on a specific topic.
