Faculty Visit to Hanoi, Vietnam: Expanding International Enrolment and Deepening University Collaboration
To enhance the faculty’s international reputation, attract outstanding international students, and deepen academic exchanges, Faculty of Business organized its first promotion activity in Southeast Asia, led by Professor Leng Mingming, Dean of the Faculty of Business, from December 8 to 12, 2025. Our first destination is Hanoi, Vietnam. Taking the platform of the 2025 Academy of International Business (AIB) Asia Pacific Regional Conference, the delegation conducted promotion activities, university visits and academic seminars, effectively enhancing our faculty’s international influence.
Dean Leng was invited to deliver a welcome speech in the Opening Ceremony of the Conference on December 9, highlighting Lingnan University’s remarkable achievements and the faculty’s latest developments. During the Conference, the delegation has promoted our faculty’s disciplinary strengths, distinctive talent cultivation models, and international programmes to conference participants.
On December 9, the delegation visited the Foreign Trade University (FTU) and held a promotion talk for its undergraduate students. In the talk, Dean Leng shared our master’s and doctoral curriculum and campus supports, boosting the recognition and reputation of Lingnan University’s Faculty of Business among Vietnamese top-quality students.
On December 11, the delegation went to Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and met with Dean of the School of Economics and Management and Head of the Management Department for in-depth cooperation. Both parties reached consensus on scientific research cooperation, student exchanges and other matters, aiming to build a broader platform for students’ further study and development. Subsequently, Dean Leng delivered an insightful academic seminar, demonstrating our faculty’s strong research capabilities. In the promotion session for undergraduate students, Dean Leng comprehensively introduced the master’s and doctoral enrolment policies. Many students expressed their willingness to pursue further studies at Lingnan University, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two universities.
In this trip, the faculty opened up new paths for industry-university-research cooperation with universities in Southeast Asia and enhanced our faculty’s international influence. In the future, Faculty of Business will continue to expand our impact internationally and attract more high-achieving students worldwide.
