New Rooms / Facilities Booking System

Notes for Booking Group Study Room

Use LU Mobile App to make Rooms / Facilities Booking

Cancel Booking

In November 2022, the Library launched a new Rooms / Facilities Booking System with a more user-friendly interface to help LU staff and students make bookings on Library facilities, including:

  1. Individual Study Rooms
  2. Group Study Rooms
  3. Microfilm Workstations
  4. Database Workstations (Bloomberg, Refinitiv Eikon, and Wind 資訊金融終端)
  5. Special Educational Needs (SEN) Equipment

New Room/Facilities Booking System 

The system is integrated with the card readers outside the rooms. Users can tap their own LU Cards (physical or virtual) to claim the rooms.

Notes for Booking Group Study Room

To claim the reserved Group Study Room, 2 LU Cards will be required.

  • One from a group member followed by another from the one who made the booking
  • Quota will be charged to both users

The maximum capacity of our Group Study Rooms has been reviewed based on the size of the rooms. Please observe the maximum room capacity as specified in the booking system.

Use LU Mobile App to make Rooms / Facilities Booking

To access the new system, you can simply click “Rooms / Facilities Booking” on our Library webpage and under Library Services on LU Mobile App. You can get access to the system and User Manual at


Cancel Booking

You are warmly reminded to cancel your booking if you do not need the room/facility anymore. The room/facility will be released to others if the user does not show up after 15 minutes. Also, a no-show without making any cancellations will count against the quota limit.
