From Fudan to Lingnan – A Summer of Hands-On Library Experience

This summer, the Library was delighted to welcome a first-year postgraduate student from the Library and Information Science programme at Fudan University who undertook a four-week placement at Lingnan University Library.

During the internship, the intern gained first-hand experience by learning about, observing, and participating in frontline library work. From daily operations to innovative services, the intern strengthened professional knowledge and practical skills, while conversations with Library colleagues offered fresh perspectives on career paths and personal growth. 

This marks the second year that Lingnan University has hosted interns from Fudan University following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fudan Library in March 2025. The internship project fosters deeper collaboration between the two libraries and helps nurture the next generation of library professionals.
