Introduction
The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence (BAPAI) is a distinctive and unique programme offered by the Department of Philosophy. It aims to foster a culture of Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy and responsibility, enabling graduates to effectively engage with the philosophical and ethical issues surrounding new AI technologies.

Learning Outcomes
General Programme Framework
Eligible sub-degree graduates, i.e. from local Associate Degree (AD) or Higher Diploma (HD) programmes accredited with Level 4 of the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (QF), admitted to Senior Year will be granted a 60-credit block transfer, and designated as Year 3 students.

* If students opt to take a 3-credit Research Seminar, then he/she would need to take a total of 3 elective courses (9 credits). If students opt to carry out a 6-credit Directed Research Project, then they would only take a total of 2 elective courses (6 credits).
Programme Curriculum
The BAPAI programme is designed to provide senior year students with advanced skills training and enhanced understanding of Philosophy and AI through 11 required courses and 2-3 elective courses. The overall programme curriculum is designed to progressively introduce the students to increasingly challenging topics.

Potential career paths for graduates include roles as AI ethicists, developers, educators, consultants, and analysts in various sectors, such as technology companies, government agencies, nonprofits, education, consulting firms, and creative industries.
Admission Requirements
A. General Admission Requirements
Applicants must have successfully graduated from a recognised full-time Associate Degree (AD)/Higher Diploma (HD) programme with duration of at least two years offered by a recognised post-secondary institution in Hong Kong.
