Representatives of Taiwan Institute of Economic Research

On 26th May 2017 (Friday), the representatives of Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER), a well-known think tank established in Taipei, have visited China Economic Research Programme and Pan Sutong Shanghai-Hong Kong Economic Policy Research Centre of Lingnan University. The visitors from TIER included Dr. TAN Ching-Yu, Director of Emerging Market Development Study Center (EMDSC) of TIER; Alex HSU, Associate Research Fellow of EMDSC of TIER and LIN Tung Steffi, Assistant Research Fellow of EMDSC of TIER. The representatives from TIER and Lingnan have made an in-depth academic discussion and good communication over the topics of economic collaborations between Hong Kong and Taiwan and the future development of Hong Kong – ASEAN Free Trade Agreement.

Prof. WEI Xiangdong, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences, Director of China Economic Research Programme (CERP) and Pan Sutong Shanghai-Hong Kong Economic Policy Research Centre (PSEC), Professor CHUNG Chien Peng, Professor of politics in the Department of Political Science and Dr. CHOW Man-kong, Deputy Director of CERP and PSEC have participated the meeting.
