Curriculum
The total credit requirement for the MResADS programme is 45 credits, consisting of eight required courses and two elective courses. These courses can have different combinations of lectures, laboratory sessions, tutorials, and/or seminars. Although the normal duration for the MResADS programme is one and a half year of full-time study, students may extend this up to a maximum duration of three years, subject to the approval of the Programme Director and the Person-in-Charge of the Division.

Student Progression
Students are required to achieve a Cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 2.50 or above in order to proceed to the next term. Students who cannot meet such requirement will normally be put on academic probation in the following term or discontinued.
Graduation
For graduation, students are required to complete a total of 10 courses of 45 credits, as specified in the programme curriculum, including eight required courses and three elective courses. The minimum CGPA requirement for graduation will be 2.67 for conferment of the MResADS programme. Students will be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma if they cannot meet the requirement(s) for graduation with a M. Res. degree. Specifically, to qualify for the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science issued by Lingnan University, students must complete any 4 required courses with a cumulative GPA that is equal to or greater than 2.33.
