Admission Requirements
General Requirements
Applicants holding a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or other equivalent discipline from a tertiary education institution recognised for this purpose by the University, or an equivalent qualification, or satisfactory evidence of academic and professional attainment, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
English Language Requirement
An applicant whose degree or, exceptionally, an alternative qualification deemed equivalent from a tertiary institution is not using English as the medium of instruction (MOI) for the programme should obtain ：
TOEFL iBT1
Tests taken on or after 21 Jan 2026: Minimum overall score of 4 (on the new 1–6 scale),
Tests taken before 21 Jan 2026: Minimum overall score of 79 (on the 0–120 scale), or
- a band score of 6.0 or above in IELTS (Academic)1, or
- a minimum score of 450 or above in College English Test Band 6 (CET-6), with proof of competency in spoken English2; or
- a minimum score of 62 with no sub-score below 59 in PTE Academic1, or
- an equivalent qualification to prove his/her English language proficiency which will be considered on a case-by case basis.
1For admission purposes, the University only accepts official IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE test results taken at an accredited test center. Test scores must be within their 2-year validity period at the time of application submission for the specific intake.
2For CET-6 results submitted for admission purposes, the University accepts only those obtained within the five-year validity period, counted from the date of submission of the admission application for the specific intake cohort. Applicants must also demonstrate competency in spoken English through an oral interview conducted by the Programme and/or obtain grade B or above in the CET-6 Speaking English Test.
