Programme Structure
The Master of Social Sciences in Sociology and Data Analytics (MSoDA) is a one-year full-time and two-years part-time taught postgraduate programme.
To be eligible for graduation, students must successfully complete a total of 30 credits.

In accordance with the University's academic regulations, students must complete and pass ALL courses, including one capstone project, amounting to 30 credits, and obtain a Cumulative G.P.A. of 2.67 or above for graduation.

Degree Classification
Distinction will be awarded when a student achieves a Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.50 or above and has fulfilled the requirements for graduation of a master’s degree programme.

Intermediate Award
Students will be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology and Data Analytics (社會學及數據分析深造文憑) if they have completed a minimum of five courses with a minimum CGPA of 2.67 in the first term, and have been approved not to continue in the programme.
Acceptance of an intermediate award implies an intention not to complete the final award.
