IDEAL-Gen AI

The Inter-institutional Collaborative Activities for Teaching Development and Language Enhancement (IICA-TDLE)project is a key initiative funded by the University Grants Committee (UGC) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

This project is part of a broader, strategic effort aimed at driving the wider adoption and long-term development of virtual teaching and learning (VTL) across Hong Kong's eight publicly-funded universities.Led by Lingnan University, the project involves three participating UGC-funded institutions: The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).

A key project outcome is IDEAL-Gen.AI, a pioneering, cutting-edge AI-powered platform that enables educators to create tailored learning materials, such as learning activities, lesson plans and assessment tasks, that align with their specific pedagogical needs.

This innovative platform supports educators at all levels, enabling them to transform their approach to learning design and instructional content creation through the use of generative AI.
