Ms. ZHANG Zhiqi

Zhiqi Zhang is currently a PhD student in English at Lingnan University. She received her BA in English from Zhengzhou University and her MA in Language Studies (Pedagogical Linguistics) from City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include sociolinguistics, multimodal discourse analysis, digital discourse, identity, and social media communication. 

She participated in the Copenhagen Winter School in Sociolinguistics at the University of Copenhagen in March 2026, where she presented her doctoral research and engaged in academic discussions with scholars and doctoral researchers. She also participated in a Summer School at Lingnan University in June 2025, where she gave an academic presentation and completed coursework in computational methods for social science research. In September 2026, she will present her research at the 16th International and Interdisciplinary Conference on Applied Linguistics and Professional Practice (ALAPP 2026) in New York.
