Admission Requirements

General qualifications

• Hold a relevant bachelor’s degree awarded by a tertiary education institution recognised for this purpose by the University; or
• Have obtained an equivalent qualification; or 

• Have provided satisfactory evidence of academic and professional attainment.

   

Language requirements

An applicant whose degree or, exceptionally, an alternative qualification deemed equivalent from a tertiary institution is not using English as the medium of instruction (MOI) for the programme should obtain: 

• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT (Internet-based test)
  • Minimum score: 79 (for tests taken on or before January 26, 2026)
  • Minimum score: 4.0 (for tests taken after January 26, 2026) 
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic
  • Minimum score: 6.0 (band score)
• College English Test Band 6 (CET-6)
  • Minimum score: 450 (obtained within five years), plus proof of spoken English competency

• An equivalent score in a recognised test or an equivalent qualification to prove his/her English language proficiency which will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

   

  ^{* For IELTS and TOEFL qualifications for admission purpose, the University only accepts results of tests that are conducted at a test entre and within the validity period, viz. 2 years, from the time of submission of an admission application for the specific intake cohort.}

  ^{* For TOEFL, Home Edition results are not acceptable.}

  ^{* For IETLS, One Skill Retake results are not acceptable.}

   

Remarks

• A recent GMAT or GRE test score, while not required, will be helpful in determining admittance into the Programme.

Pre-entry courses

• Applicants with no or limited background in finance, accounting, and statistics in their bachelor's degree will be required to pass the below pre-entry courses prior to the start of this Programme.

  1. Financial Management (18 hours)

  2. Statistics (24 hours)

• Hold a relevant bachelor’s degree awarded by a recognized tertiary institution, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
• TOEFL iBT score 80 (before January 26, 2026) /TOEFL iBT score 4.0 (after January 26, 2026) / IELTS overall score of 6.5 or above.
• A recent GMAT or GRE test score, while not required, will be helpful in determining admittance into the Programme.
• An admission interview conducted by LU may be required.
• Applicants with no background in accounting, finance and statistics in their first degree (or equivalent academic qualification) will have to complete and pass a pre-entry course.
