Capstone Fair 2024

The final-year students in Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies (BACS) marked a great achievement by presenting and sharing their capstone projects with the public in an innovative and interactive way in the Capstone Fair on 20 November 2024 (Wed).

During the fair, each student group had the opportunity to host their own booth, engaging with visitors and presenting their research findings to the public. The students’ projects delved into a diverse mix of topics, including Political Memes, ‘Goblin’ Memes, Sexual Crimes on Telegram, Boys’ Love and Girls’ Love TV Drama, HK People’s Consumption Behaviours, Fandom & Celebrity Scandals, Street Photography & Collective Identity, and Classroom Culture at Lingnan University. The students demonstrated their ability to integrate the academic knowledge and practical skills they acquired from their undergraduate study. They went beyond the classroom learning, demonstrating their capacity to think critically and their dedication to exploring diverse and impactful issues within our society.

In recognition of the students’ outstanding efforts and achievements, 4 awards were presented. The Best Capstone Presentation, the 1st Runner-up Capstone Presentation, the 2nd Runner-up Capstone Presentation and the Best Presentation chosen by Cultural Studies Teachers were issued to three student groups whose projects received the highest number of votes through a secret ballot.

Mini-Capstone Fair 2024 on 14 April 2025 (Mon)

A half-day Mini-Capstone Fair was held on 14 April 2025 in Kin Sun Square (Skylight). 4 groups of final-year students showcased their capstone projects to the public in an innovative way.
