Department of Cultural Studies Faculty Members Garner Over HK$1 Million in GRF

We are delighted to announce that Prof LEUNG Yuk-ming Lisa (Associate Professor) and Prof ZHOU Yang (Research Assistant Professor) have been awarded the General Research Fund(GRF) that altogether worth over HK$1 million by the Research Grants Council (HKSAR). Their achievements demonstrate their dedication to research excellence and the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields. Congratulations to the following faculty members on their well-deserved awards:

1.         Prof LEUNG Yuk-ming Lisa (GRF)

Project Title: ‘Minority’ Identity-Positioning, Collectivity and Tactical Belongingness among Younger Generation South/ South-East Asians in Hong Kong

Project Fund: HK$426,550

2.         Prof ZHOU Yang (GRF)

Project Title: Whither worker media? Migrant labour, platformized media/cultural production and working-class formation in China

Project Fund: HK$576,094
