About the Conference

The LU-JNU Joint Conference on "Sustainable Finance and Development in the Digital Era" addresses the urgent need to understand and harness the intersection of financial innovation and sustainable development. Amid rapid digital transformation and a growing global focus on sustainability, this theme is essential to fostering resilient and inclusive economic growth. Jointly organized by Lingnan University in Hong Kong and Jinan University in Guangzhou, the conference will alternate between these institutions, with this inaugural event hosted in Hong Kong, reaching out to the Greater Bay Area and beyond. Featuring papers on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) topics, as well as the latest developments and challenges in Web3 and cryptocurrency, the conference brings together world-renowned scholars and pioneering research. Together, they aim to generate actionable insights and strategies to guide policy-making and corporate practices. As the region positions itself as a global hub for finance and innovation, leveraging digital advancements to drive sustainability is essential for realizing long-term economic and environmental goals.
