Joint Humanitarian Entrepreneurship Winter Academy 2027 (Joint)

The Joint Humanitarian Entrepreneurship Winter Academy enhances student learning by challenging them with real-world problems while simultaneously creating a positive impact in the community by developing solutions. The program's core values will revolve around creative expression, empathy, embracing ambiguity, visualising challenges, and synthesizing actionable ideas. Students will tackle real-world social issues in Humanitarian Technology & Inclusive Business in different countries. 

*Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn 3 credits and fulfill Service-Learning graduation requirement*

Reminders

1. Students need to ensure that they are eligible to take the CLA9021(for Philippines & Bangladesh) /CLC9019 (for Malaysia) Course in Term2, 2026-2027. 
2. Students enrolled in the programme MUST attend the Information Session , all scheduled Pre-trip Training sessions, Programme activities and Final Presentation. 
3. All shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person interview.
4. OSL will cover most of the programme fees, including round-trip airfare from Hong Kong to the hosting city, hostel accommodation throughout the trip, most meals* and expenses related to the programme. Visa application fees, meals at the airport and other personal expenses will not be covered. (*Please note that while halal food options may not be guaranteed, fish, vegetables, and fruits will be provided.)
5. Students are expected to pay a $2,000 programme fee & $3,000 deposit. $3,000 deposit will be fully refunded upon successful completion of the entire programme (all listed activities, submission of required documents, and the Term-end CTLE). Failure to attend any of these activities will result in the forfeiture of the $3,000 deposit
