Research Postgraduate Programmes
The Faculty offers MPhil/PhD Programmes in Economics, Government and International Affairs, Psychology, Sociology and/or Social Policy. The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Programme in Social Sciences was launched in the year 1995, and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Programme in Social Sciences in 2000-2001. Both MPhil and PhD Programmes require students to engage in-depth study in specific research areas in the Social Sciences. >Learn more

Master of Social Sciences in Applied Psychology (MAP) The Master of Social Sciences in Applied Psychology (MAP) Programme does not only provide students with a broad foundation in the practical applications of psychology, but also enable them to lay the foundations for a more specific career, as they will have the option to pursue a Concentration in Counselling Psychology.
