Introduction

Urban legends are an essential part of a city's identity. These stories, often strange or fantastical, may not always be true, but they capture the imagination and curiosity of people. They reflect the culture, history, and development of a city, offering a glimpse into its past and present.

In Hong Kong, a city that has transformed from a small fishing village into a bustling metropolis, urban legends are deeply intertwined with its history. These stories not only entertain but also reveal the city's evolution and the challenges it faces today.

The exhibition Curilorecity explores Hong Kong's urban legends through the works of six artists, featuring ten pieces of art. Don’t miss this tapestry of curiosity where ink paintings meet cartoon style, folklore dances with concrete jungles, and the very character "港" (Hong Kong) springs to life!
