Introduction

How many times have you said “I'm fine” today? Did you really mean it? 
Because more often than not, it’s less of an answer and more of a toll we pay to participate in contemporary life.

We live in a world that governs our emotions by a strict code of hygiene: the “good vibe” — the smiling, the agreeable, the visibly productive — is rewarded, while the “bad vibe” — the grieving, the resistant, the visibly struggling— is labelled a pollutant to be hidden or quickly “sanitised.” And so we learn to silence what doesn't fit.

What gets lost in that silence doesn't disappear. It accumulates — into exhaustion, into numbness, into a creeping disconnection that so many of us recognise but rarely name.

《ME=me me≠ME: Who Cares About me?》is an exhibition about that accumulation — and what becomes possible when we finally stop pretending. Because a society that systematically silences emotional truth doesn't just harm its individuals — it loses its capacity to understand itself, to recognise injustice, and to genuinely care.

The exhibition is a three-part psychological journey: from the mask we wear every day, through the moment it finally breaks, to the possibility of being witnessed without shame. It does not offer a cure — only an invitation:

 to stop performing, to fall apart, and to ask: who really cares about “me?”
