The MPhil program offers great opportunities for the “fresh out the boat” undergraduate students, like me, to get prepared for future the academic or careers. Specifically, the MPhil program allows me to be trained with doctoral students from major universities across Hong Kong. Besides, the faculty members there cares about students. I not only collaborated with my advisors and other faculty members on my first ever research project, but also learn to think and behave as an independent researcher. The training, the skills, and the experiences earn me good advantages in applying for the competitive Ph.D. programs.

The university also creates a warm and welcoming living environment for the research postgraduate students. We have the luxuries to obtain the desired residence hall, generous financial supports, and cares from the department, faculty, and university. Up until today, I still consider the faculty members as my family, and Lingnan as my home.
