The MPhil program offers a unique opportunity to know what research looks like and helps someone find out whether he/she really enjoys doing research and chooses it as his/her career. The resources it provides are as good as those offered from many PhD programs in the U.S. and Hong Kong. What I value most is that faculty there are very protective and caring. They always make sure students can get enough time to learn and do research and they are always there whenever students need help. Even I have graduated from Lingnan for many years, I still miss a lot its relaxing environment and freedom of doing research. In particular, I have learned tremendously from Prof Michael Firth and Prof Sonia Wong. Their passion of research and patience of mentoring students inspired me and incentivized me to be someone like them in the future.
