Visiting Scholar Programme
The Senior Visiting Scholar Programme hosts experts who have established themselves as intellectual leaders in advancing scholarship on public administration, political science, comparative politics, governance and international affairs. The visitors spend days to months at the Department of Government and International Affairs, affiliated with its Governance and Bureaucracy Laboratory (GovBur Lab) or the China in the World Initiative (CIW), actively participating in the life of the GOV. They are expected to conduct their own research, and to meet with interested colleagues and students. During the visit, he or she is required to deliver an internal presentation, conduct a public lecture, and facilitate an interactive session with RPG students. Senior visiting scholars are by invitation only, need to be proposed by at least one faculty member, and approved by the Head of Department.
The Visiting Fellow Programme targets emerging experts in the field of public administration, political science, comparative politics, governance and international affairs, such as MPhil/PhD students and early-career scholars from prestigious universities, and practitioners from think tanks or NGOs. The visitors spend days to months at the Department of Government and International Affairs, affiliated with either the Governance and Bureaucracy Laboratory (GovBur Lab) or the China in the World Initiative (CIW), actively participating in the life of the GOV. They are expected to conduct their own research, and to meet with interested colleagues and students. During the visit, he or she is required to deliver a research talk. The visiting fellows are typically self-funded, but they may receive a small-amount honorarium from the hosting Department.

We prefer applications from those who have outside sources of funding, or who have planned activities elsewhere in Hong Kong, and believe their research would benefit from spending some time at Lingnan University, Hong Kong.
