Scholarships and Financial Assistance
At Lingnan University, we are committed to providing an extensive range of scholarships, bursaries and financial assistance tailored to the diverse needs and accomplishments of our undergraduate (UG), research postgraduate (RPg), and taught postgraduate (TPg) students.
These encompass a wide array of support, including financial support to alleviate the burden of tuition fees and other related costs, acknowledging outstanding achievements. Your generous donation will be a great encouragement to students and help them to take part in our student exchange programmes and extracurricular activities, as well as enjoy university life – all of which will allow students to pursue and explore their potential.
One notable initiative is the First Generation University Education Fund, which supports students in financial difficulties, who are also the first in their families to go to university. This fund provides them with the opportunity to take part in Lingnan’s range of student development programmes, such as student exchange, internships, service-learning, and hostel life.

Outstanding Academic Performance
To foster academic excellence and empower our students to succeed in their professional journeys, our programmes are designed to be innovative and inspiring, leading to outstanding achievements across various disciplines. With ample faculty support and access to extensive resources in a collaborative environment, our students consistently reach high academic standards, paving the way for successful careers and meaningful contributions to society.
Student Exchange Programmes
To enrich students’ international learning experiences and instil our future leaders with a sense of global citizenship, not only do we welcome over 400 exchange students from around the world each year, we also encourage our students to go on exchange to Chinese Mainland and overseas to experience different cultures and expand their international horizons. Lingnan University has established student exchange partnerships with more than 270 institutions in approximately 50 countries.
Internship Programmes
To facilitate students’ career development and strengthen their competitiveness after graduation, students are encouraged to participate in internships. This allows them to explore their career interests, enrich their professional skill sets, and acquire practical work experience in dynamic workplaces. Each year, over 330 internship opportunities are available in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, and overseas.
Service-Learning Programmes
“Education for Service” is Lingnan University’s motto. We endeavour to nurture thoughtful and well-rounded talent through our various Service-Learning Programmes. We provide many opportunities for students to use their academic knowledge and skills outside the classroom, enabling them to put theory into practice. By delivering meaningful services to the community, students are able to make positive impacts on society. Service-Learning has been one of the graduation requirements since 2016/17.
Hostel Life
Hostel life is an essential part of Lingnan’s quality education. The diverse hostel activities and immense interaction with students of different disciplines and cultural background creates an environment that is conducive to transformation of students from protected teenagers into independent and caring young leaders of broad exposure and international perspectives.
