In July, Professor Liu and Professor Zhang from the Centre collaborated with East China Normal University and Chinese University of Hong Kong carried out a field trip to North China, focusing on Henan, Shandong, and Hebei province, to explore interplays between the water environmental changes and the decline of north China in Late Imperial period.
