The LEO Dr David P. Chan Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science Programme integrates knowledge and skills from computer science, statistics/mathematics and artificial intelligence with critical and out-of-the box thinking to process big datasets with different formats from various sources.

 

Minor Programme in Data Science 

The Minor in Data Science aims to train students in the fundamental principles and practical applications of data science. Students will learn the scientific process and computational, mathematical and statistical methods in data collection, analysis and presentation. They will learn how to apply the data science process and methods to solve problems that arise in science, social sciences, arts and business.

 

Common Core Course in the Core Curriculum: Generative Artificial Intelligence

This course introduces generative artificial intelligence (AI), including fundamental concepts, basic techniques for generating text, images and audio, methods for evaluating and enhancing models, and ethical considerations. Through lectures and hands-on labs, students with no prior AI knowledge will gain practical skills in implementing, critiquing, and refining generative models.

Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics Programme emphasises a balanced coverage of subjects in AI and business analytics, as well as focuses on business data analytics by using AI techniques to solve practical business problems.
