Postgraduate Summer School 2026

The Postgraduate Summer School 2026 is a prestigious flagship event of the School of Graduate Studies (GS) at Lingnan University, co-hosted with Hertford College at the University of Oxford, the UK, since 2018. Participants will spend three enriching days at Lingnan University, with a select number nominated to join the UK session for a two-week stay at the University of Oxford, enhancing their learning experience. In collaboration with prominent regional and global institutions, the Postgraduate Summer School provides a platform for scholars and postgraduate students to present their significant research findings, share research practices, and reflect on essential methodological issues.

The UK Session (By Nomination Only)

Event Details

Date:	28 June - 12 July 2026 (including travel time)
Venue:	University of Oxford, the UK
Eligibility:	Postgraduate students from Lingnan University
Nomination Process:	Participation in the UK session is nomination based. Faculties and Schools will nominate candidates by late February 2026. The GS will review all nominations and finalise the participant list by May 2026. Selected participants will be contacted directly by GS regarding acceptance of the offer and detailed travel arrangements.
Remarks:	Participants are required to attend at least 80% of the Hong Kong session, complete the UK programme with satisfactory performance, and submit a reflective piece after the trip to highlight their learning. A partial subsidy will be provided by GS to eligible participants who have met all programme requirements. A visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) for the UK may be required; Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel documents well in advance. Waitlisted students may receive an offer with a shorter notification period and should be prepared for expedited travel and visa arrangements.
