LEAP Activity: Brown-Bag Seminar Series
On 28 March 2025, the inaugural session of the Brown-Bag Seminar Series, hosted by the LEAP programme, features a compelling presentation by Dr Edward Kwabena Ameyaw on the topic of "mHealth Knowledge and Usage in Maternal Healthcare Delivery: Perspectives and Experiences of Healthcare Practitioners in Ghana."
The seminar attracted approximately 20 students and faculty members from diverse backgrounds. Dr Ameyaw's insightful presentation shed light on the critical role of mHealth in enhancing healthcare access and outcomes for mothers and infants in Ghana. Following the presentation, an engaging discussion took place, where participants explored the integration of mobile health technologies in maternal healthcare. The event highlighted the importance of innovative solutions in addressing healthcare challenges and underscored Lingnan University's commitment to promoting knowledge exchange in the field of health studies.
The Brown-Bag Seminar Series serves as a platform for sharing research and ideas, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue among students and professionals. The success of this first session sets a promising precedent for future seminars, as Lingnan University and the School of Graduate Studies continue to support academic growth and community engagement.
Looking ahead, the next session of the Brown-Bag Seminar Series will take place on 7 April 2025 (Monday), featuring a presentation by Prof Stefan Kuehner.
