LEAP Activity: Introduction to Healthcare and Self-acupressure
On 28 April 2025, the LEAP programme team from School of Graduate Studies (GS) collaborated with the Lingnan University Chinese Medicine Clinic (LUCMC) to host the "Introduction to Healthcare and Self-acupressure" workshop at Lingnan Campus. This informative event aimed to empower participants with knowledge about healthcare practices and self-care techniques rooted in traditional Chinese medicine.
The workshop attracted a diverse audience, including Lingnan postgraduates and guests from Elderly Rights Advocacy and Treatment (ERAT), Indonesia. The guests expressed keen interest in understanding LU's model for promoting healthcare and its broader societal benefits. All participants also engaged in hands-on demonstrations of self-acupressure techniques, acquiring practical skills to incorporate into their daily routines.
Dr Chloe Siu from GS shared, “It was wonderful to witness such enthusiasm for traditional practices. The interactive nature of the workshop facilitated a deeper understanding of how self-care can significantly impact our health and wellness.”
Participants provided positive feedback, expressing appreciation for the insights gained and the practical applications shared during the session. This workshop highlighted Lingnan University's dedication to holistic health, reinforcing the importance of empowering individuals to take charge of their wellness.
