Lingnan’s Students Explore Innovation and Sustainability at Cyberport and Eco Expo Asia 2025

On 22 October 2025, students from the Master of Housing Policy and Management (MHPM) programme at the School of Graduate Studies (GS) of Lingnan University (Lingnan) embarked on an enriching field trip to Cyberport, a leading digital technology hub in the Hong Kong SAR. The visit commenced with a warm welcome and introduction by Jeremy Lok, Manager – Project, Smart City & Digital Transformation at Cyberport.

The students then attended an engaging presentation from Lucas Mo, Co-Founder and CEO of NineSmart Limited, who discussed how property technology and IoT solutions are revolutionising automation in the built environment. Eddie Lin, Director of Product Technology at Riverchain International Limited, then shared his entrepreneurial journey in fintech, highlighting working capital solutions tailored for the construction industry.

The experience also included a tour of the Low-Altitude Economy Application Exhibition Hub, where students gained insights into emerging drone technologies. The visit concluded with an overview of the Cyberport Greater Bay Area Young Entrepreneurship Programme, offering inspiration and opportunities for aspiring innovators.

Continuing their experiential learning, the MHPM students visited Eco Expo Asia 2025 at AsiaWorld-Expo on 30 October 2025. Guided by Prof Yung Yau, Associate Dean of GS, students explored cutting-edge developments in sustainable practices within the property and facility management sector. Thanks to the generous support of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, students participated in a guided tour that showcasing innovative green building technologies and services, highlighting the vital role of sustainability in future urban development.

The visits to Cyberport and Eco Expo provided invaluable platforms for students to engage with emerging trends and ideas, empowering them to become the next generation of professionals in property and facility management.
