Teaching staff and students from health-related taught postgraduate programmes at Lingnan’s School of Graduate Studies celebrate the end of the academic year
On 29 May 2026, the health-related taught postgraduate programmes at the School of Graduate Studies, Lingnan University (Lingnan), hosted a meaningful gathering that brought together teaching staff and students from the Master of Social Sciences in Health and Social Services Management (MHSM), the Master of Science in Health Analytics and Management (HAM), and the Master of Science in Smart Ageing and Gerontology (SAG) programmes to celebrate the successful conclusion of the 2025/26 academic year.
This event provided a platform for teaching staff and students to share experiences and reflect collectively on their learning experiences over the past year. Students not only shared their insights, challenges, and achievements, but also engaged with peers from different programmes. This interdisciplinary exchange enriched mutual understanding and fostered a collaborative spirit. Many students highlighted visits to NGOs as the most memorable experience, which deepened their appreciation of Hong Kong’s social services. One student emphasised the vital role of practical experience, “Through direct participation in community service activities, we can better understand service recipients and apply what we have learnt.”
Summarising their feelings about the past academic year, one student shared, “The entire year at Lingnan has been filled with wonderful memories for me.” Others expressed satisfaction with their interactions with peers and teaching staff at Lingnan. One student noted, “All the teachers were very supportive and approachable. I am truly grateful for their guidance and encouragement. While completing assignments with classmates, we collaborated effectively and built positive interpersonal relationships.”
Additionally, students greatly appreciated the dynamic, diverse, and interactive learning environment at the Lingnan campus. One student remarked, “I had a truly enjoyable and fulfilling learning journey. I appreciated the campus environment and found my classmates engaging and full of interesting perspectives. This experience enabled me to deepen my understanding of Hong Kong’s way of life and academic environment.”
Teaching staff also shared their observations and reflections during the gathering, adding depth and perspective to the discussion. This event not only marked a joyful conclusion to the 2025/26 academic year but also strengthened the cohesion and collaboration spirit among teaching staff and students.
