Visiting and Exchange Programme with the School of Health Management at Guangzhou Medical University
A delegation from Lingnan University, led by Prof Yau Yung, Associate Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and accompanied by Prof Padmore Adusei Amoah (Programme Director, Master of Science in Health Analytics and Management), Prof Shi Cheng (Programme Director, Master of Social Sciences in Health and Social Services Management), Prof David Chan Yuen-tung (Programme Director, Master of China and Regional Development Studies), and Ms Jennifer Lee Fung-yee (Associate Programme Director, Master of Social Sciences in Organisational Psychology and Education Management), visited Guangzhou Medical University (GMU) for an academic exchange. The delegation received a warm welcome from Mr Lin Chaoming, Secretary of Party Committee of Graduate School, Mr Ling Kun, Secretary of Party Committee, Ms Mai Xiaohan, Associate Secretary of Party Committee, Associate Dean of GMU’s School of Health Management Prof Fan Yangdong, Prof Zhang Xueqin and Prof Zeng Yikang and faculty members. Both sides engaged in discussions about collaboration opportunities in education and research.
Following the meeting, the delegation hosted an informative session for GMU students, introducing the School of Graduate Studies’ twelve taught master’s programmes and one taught professional doctoral programme. The programme directors provided detailed insights into curriculum highlights, career prospects, and admission requirements, emphasizing the unique strengths of each programme.
The session concluded with a lively Q&A, during which GMU students expressed strong interest in the various programmes offered. This event not only strengthened the ties between the two institutions but also showcased the School of Graduate Studies’ commitment to nurturing global talent and fostering academic collaboration.
Overall, the visit marked a significant step towards enhancing educational partnerships and expanding opportunities for students at both School of Graduate Studies at Lingnan University and School of Health Management at GMU.
