SEIM Students Win “杰出運營落地獎” at Cyberport GBA Young Entrepreneurship Programme
A team of master’s students from our institution has earned remarkable recognition by winning the “杰出運營落地獎” (Outstanding Operation & Implementation Award) at the Cyberport Greater Bay Area Young Entrepreneurship Programme (Cyberport GBA YEP)—a flagship regional initiative designed to empower young innovators across the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

About the Cyberport GBA YEP
The Cyberport GBA YEP is an entrepreneurship initiative supported by the Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF), aimed at nurturing young talent aged 18–30 from Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangdong. The programme serves as a collaborative platform where participants connect with peers across cities, develop digital-tech innovation projects, and gain hands-on entrepreneurial experience.
Participants begin with an entrepreneurship bootcamp, where they:
- Receive entrepreneurship training supported by industry leaders and experts
- Visit innovative enterprises in the GBA
- Learn about the region’s fast-evolving innovation and technology landscape
- Form cross‑city teams to work on real start‑up projects
Each admitted project team may receive HK$100,000 in seed funding from CCMF, along with six months of mentoring and support to develop their ideas into viable prototypes or early-stage ventures. The programme further aims to facilitate business soft‑landing and cross‑border development in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and even overseas markets, strengthening participants’ potential for long-term entrepreneurial success.
Student's Achievement: Excellence in Real‑World Implementation
Among young innovators from across the GBA, our master’s student team distinguished themselves by demonstrating exceptional strength in operational planning, execution feasibility, and market applicability—qualities highly aligned with Cyberport’s goal of transforming innovative ideas into impactful, real-world solutions.
Their winning project showcased:
- Strong operational strategy
- Clear execution pathways
- Practical relevance to industry needs
- A sustainable development roadmap
These attributes earned them the “杰出運營落地獎”, underscoring their ability not only to innovate but to implement effectively.

A Testament to Academic–Industry Integration
The team’s success reflects the university’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary learning, entrepreneurship, and industry engagement. Supported by faculty mentors, the students applied academic knowledge to address real-world challenges—bridging theory and practice through a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.
Looking Ahead
Buoyed by their success, the team aims to continue refining their innovation, exploring mentorship and incubation opportunities within Cyberport’s extensive network. With enhanced exposure to the GBA ecosystem and access to cross-border resources, they are well‑positioned to further advance their project toward long‑term commercialization. Their achievement serves as an inspiring example for future students eager to pursue innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship in the dynamic Greater Bay Area.
