Ms. Yulia AFANASEVA

Yulia Afanaseva is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at Lingnan University. She received her MA in Modern Social Analysis from HSE University and holds a BA in Economics from Novosibirsk State University. Prior to joining Lingnan, she worked in research and consultancy at Deloitte and the Center for Strategic Research. Her research lies at the intersection of sociology, political science, and psychology, with a particular interest in value diversity and its social consequences. Her current work examines how value heterogeneity within societies relates to social cohesion, including social trust, civic engagement, and national identity. She primarily employs quantitative and comparative methods and large-scale cross-national and longitudinal survey data.
