Psychology with Concentration in Counselling Psychology
The Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) - Psychology (with Concentration in Counselling Psychology), a 2-year full-time top-up undergraduate programme, aims to enhance the quality of life and effectiveness of people's functioning through addressing mental health issues and facilitating human development and adjustment, both at the individual and organisational levels. The programme prepares graduates for future postgraduate training in counselling-related professions and for careers in human service agencies (e.g. social work, school psychology, healthcare, human resources) where counselling skills are necessary.
Highlights
The programme features courses related to counselling, such as Human Development and Psychology of Adulthood, Abnormal Psychology, Psychological Testing and Assessment, Stress and Coping: Theory and Practices, and Counselling Psychology. These courses equip graduates with essential counselling skills that improve individuals' quality of life and enhance their functioning by addressing mental health challenges and promoting personal and organisational development and adjustment.
