Institutional Surveys
The Centre for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CITAL) administers the Student Survey annually to all undergraduate and taught postgraduate students, as well as alumni. This survey collects significant information about students’ backgrounds and their expectations of university education, providing valuable insights for programme design and university planning.
Aligned with Lingnan University's commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and its strategic initiative, Optimising Liberal Arts Education in the Digital Era, CITAL is committed to fostering sustainability literacy and understanding the role of generative AI in learning. For sustainability, we have already developed indicators to assess student comprehension of key concepts and principles. These indicators will be incorporated into the Final Year Student Learning Experience Survey, with implementation planned for 2026. In the area of generative AI, we are currently in the process of developing indicators to explore student usage and perceptions of these tools. Collecting this new data helps the university refine its teaching pedagogy to better equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for a sustainable and technologically advanced future.
