Collection of ECON 30th Anniversary Insulated Water Bottle & 2-way Strap

To mark the Department’s 30th anniversary, we have created a stylish, tailor-made insulated water bottle engraved with your name for current students admitted before the AY2026–27 intake (water bottles for AY2026–27 students will not be personalised), together with a versatile 2-way strap, as a memorable keepsake.

ECON Windbreaker Collection

 As the weather turns cooler and autumn settles in, our department has prepared a stylish windbreaker for ECON & BSSGEB Year 1 and Senior Year intake Students.

Applications Successful: General Research Fund (GRF) 2026/27

The Research Grants Council (RGC) announced the funding results of the latest round of the General Research Fund (GRF) and the Early Career Scheme (ECS) for 2026/27 on 26 June 2026. Two research projects from the Department of Economics have been awarded funding under the General Research Fund (GRF) 2026/27.

Funded projects:

• Prof. LUO Jinfeng, “Worker Life Cycle Amid Task Evolution,” HK$497,567.
• Prof. FAN Cheng Ze, Simon, “Migrant Density and Labor Market Outcomes of Migrant Workers,” HK$298,000.
